Below you'll find all seven of our lovely team that give their time gladly in the aid of our Fund's children.
MARTYN KNIGHT (PATRON)
Having been a professional performer in the West End, the UK and indeed all over the world and with over a decade of experience in the director's seat; I have worked hard to build a renowned and award winning reputation as a director and choreographer.
ANNE BICKMORE (BEM) (CHAIR)
Whilst running a busy swim school, I set up the charity in 1991 with a drive and passion to encourage children to think of others less fortunate than themselves.
I was awarded a BEM in the Queen’s Honours list 2013. I am now kept busy with five young grandchildren.
SANDRA PALMER (SECRETARY)
I first started volunteering for The ABC Fund in 2012. I had recently retired from full-time employment as an Event Manager.
I started volunteering and then as the charity progressed, I joined the committee as Secretary.
This is a small charity but we help make a difference to deserving children and families.
VALERIE CASWELL (TREASURER)
I have been a volunteer with The ABC fund since 2013 when I took over the role of Treasurer. I have a background in finance having worked for Lloyds Banking Group for over 35 years.
I enjoy volunteering and being able to make a difference.
KEVIN MAYERS (TRUSTEE)
I live in Seaford with my wife and two adopted children. I have been a part of The ABC Fund since the year 2000 now, starting as a volunteer and now as a Trustee.
HAYLEY COX (COMMITTEE)
I have been volunteering with the charity since 2013. It's great to be able to offer my experience working within ‘Children and Family Services’ for the last 30 years.
As a qualified youth worker, community project worker, artist and teacher; I engage widely with local groups and families.
MARION TAYLOR (COMMITTEE)
I worked as a SENCO at a local Peacehaven pre-school in 1998 and heard about Anne's work through her special swimming classes.
In December 2016 this was an annual charity event and The ABC Fund was the obvious choice for the proceeds. I was honoured to join the committee and support the ABC team with fundraising throughout the year.
MAGGIE SELBY (COMMITTEE)
I joined in 2019. My working background has always included children, from nursery education to hospital social work and finally in the field of child protection.
I am a great believer in a child's right to reach their full potential through physical, intellectual, emotional and social development.
